Valuation Process

We will tell our clients what an item is worth in cold hard fact in the existing market.

Gryphon & Co uses three different valuation processes:

• Fair market - what an item should bring at a properly conducted auction;
  
• Insurance valuation - what the replacement cost of an item is new, or, in the case of an antique, off the floor of an ethical and reputable dealer; and
  
• Fire Sale valuation - this is basically what an item is worth in the worst case scenario and is normally only used by Liquidators.
